From Podcast to Portable Device Using Doppler and Windows Media Player

Synching the Podcast with Windows Media Player
In order to use Windows Media Player to sync with your portable media device, you should ensure that your device is PlaysForSure compatible. The logo to the left would be on the box the device came in. Additionally, some older versions of Windows Media Player may not support synching with portable devices. If you have a hard time following this part of the tutorial, you may need to upgrade Windows Media Player.
That said, let's get started. Open Windows Media Player, and switch to the "Library" tab if it is not already activated.
In the tree-menu on the left, you should now see a "New Life Church Sermon Godcast" playlist under "My Playlists" now. This is the playlist that Doppler automatically added for us. Doppler will add a seperate playlist here for each podcast feed you subscribe to. Now, right-click on the playlist.
When you right-click on the playlist, the above menu will appear. We're going to go ahead and sync, so choose "Add to Sync List". Then, switch over to the "Sync" tab.
You'll notice that in the left column, the audio files from the New Life Church Sermon Godcast are listed. In the right column are listed all the files that are currently on your portable media device. Right above the left column is a drop down box which currently says, "Sync List". If you expand the drop-down box, you'll notice that you can choose other things to sync. This includes all your playlists, so you can also simply select the podcast playlist the want to synch from this menu instead of adding it to the sync list. The choice is yours.
If your portable media device is currently attached to your computer the "Start Synch" button should be lit. If you click this, Windows Media Player will go ahead and add all the podcast files to your portable media device. And that's all there is to it! However, so far, we have only covered how to manually sync a podcast with your portable media device. The next part of this tutorial will show you how to automate the process.
