I just wanted to take a moment to let you all know that a new resource has been added to our site. New Life Church now proudly offers daily devotionals - a little spiritual food for your soul. Currently, Charles H. Spurgeon’s classic Morning and Evening devotional is online, and I’m looking for others to add. Oswald Chambers’ classic My Utmost for His Highest devotional is also now online.
I’m still ruminating on the implementation, but I believe I will also set up the capability for our guests to create a “personal” devotional section, which would allow them to add devotionals on the web that they like (would require the desired devotional to be available as an RSS or Atom feed). At the very least, I’ll add the ability to submit a request for a devotional to be added. Requirements for this would be 1) the desired devotional is available as an RSS/Atom feed, 2) the desired devotional is public domain, or 3) reprint permission can be obtained for the desired devotional.
I’ll keep everyone updated as this progresses.
