Be Prepared
This morning I find myself busily preparing myself to go visit my tax professional to help me file my taxes. I am looking for records, gathering needed statements, and making certain that I have all of the bases covered for any possible question. As I prepare for this meeting, I have to ask myself if I am prepared for other meetings that I may encounter today.
Each day we meet people expectantly and unexpectantly. Each of these individuals have concerns in their lives and may need a word of encouragement, a hug, or just a smile. I am prepared for these meetings? Have I taken the time today to simply ask the Lord to help me to slow down long enough to hear his “still small voice” so that I can be sensitive enough to say that word, give that hug or smile?
Let’s all make sure we are prepared today. You never know who you will meet.
