Don’t Forget Jesus!
We are now charging full speed ahead into the Christmas season. As we approach this wonderful time of the year, please let me remind you that our celebration is all about remembering the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. The extra activities that fill this season easily distract us from the real reason for the season.
It amazes me to see those individuals that line up hours and in some cases days in advance to get the latest game system, the newest computer, or whatever other hyped toy-of-the-moment is available. These things bring only temporary happiness until corporations can spring the next generation of “must-haves” on the public. I trust that your Christmas celebration has more depth than the shallow excuse for Christmas offered by the world. Do not get me wrong, I do believe in giving and being a blessing to others. However, a Christ-less Christmas is a meaningless Christmas. Only a Christmas centering on the birth of Jesus Christ can bring fulfillment and meaning to your celebration.
