Nothing
Have you ever gone to the well to find that it is dry? I have, and today is one of those days. I have given much thought to this morning’s “Good Morning Saints” and after much deliberation I determined I could think of nothing to write. So, I am taking my queue from the show “Seinfeld” and I am going to write about nothing today.
It is interesting to note that in writing about nothing, I am actually writing about something. I guess I could take a philosophical turn and ask,”Is there really such a thing as “nothing?” Because it is plain from this edition of “Good Morning Saints” that “nothing” is in fact “something.” However, it is to early in the morning to go there, so let’s move on to other nothing thoughts.
The great thing about the Lord is that he can take nothing and make it into something. He spoke and when he did, nothing became the universe. Now, I am not suggesting that this “nothing” edition of GMS is so grand, however I would suggest that if God can take nothing and make the universe that he is able to take what seems like nothing in your life and make it something grand.
So, give the Lord all of your emptiness, all of your helplessness, and all of your hopelessness and just watch him turn nothing into something. After all, what do you really have that the Lord needs? Nothing! So give the Lord all your “nothing” and watch what he will do. That is what the Lord does the best. He takes the old and makes it new. He takes the pain and makes it joy. He takes the nothing and makes it something.
